How are your legal fees calculated?
Depending on the type of matter dealt with, we charge an hourly rate apportioned to any work undertaken on a time basis. This is set out and agreed to in our mandate with client at the outset of the matter to provide transparency in costs.
Do you insist on full fees upfront?
We are sympathetic to the realities that legal fees can be a daunting topic for most people. Cognissant of this, and depending on the nature of the matter, we work with client to ensure that a practical payment plan is achieved where possible.
How long will my matter take to finalise?
This is a common question to which there is really no correct answer. Timelines are dependent on the nature of the matter and variables such as whether a matter is opposed or not, in the Magistrates or High court and so on. Our philosophy is that through decades of experience we can provide the client with enough practical information to understand the legal process and its intricacies and make informed decisions on the way forward.
